My system crashed and i had Fedora 6 and i installed it then got F7.
Now i bought XP and am ready to get back to windows life.
I put the disc in restart my computer and i see a screen that says "Press ENTER to boot from CD-ROM..." I hit enter and a blank screen come sup and nothing happens?????????????
I have used ALOT of XP but i never had to install it. SO WHAT IS GOING ON???
I JUST WANT TO LEAVE THE PAINFUL WORLD OF LINUX!

Probably a problem with your hard disk. If it were me I would burn a GParted iso, boot the 'puter with it, delete all partitions on the disk and create 1 NTFS partition. Then install XP.
what is a gparted? does it have to be an iso image?

It' a partition editor. Yes, it is an ISO that you download and burn to a CD. Then boot from it, delete partitions, create an NTFS partition and live happily ever after.
ok i found a download for it but its not ISO?

Crap i hit a snag.
I burned the file to a DVD-RW and i set my bios to boot from it.
It can't boot from the DISC???????????????????????????
pls help
i am going to burna cd-rw maybe a CD-RW will be better than DVD.
The CD-RW didn't work?????
Do i have to use a specialized software to burn this image?

Don't use a re-writable cd or dvd. They don't work well for iso images.
