Linux-Noob Forums

Full Version: I want to switch to linux....
You're currently viewing a stripped down version of our content. View the full version with proper formatting.

But I require CAD programs similar to AutoCAD, and electronic circuit simulators, and PCB Layout software similar to OrCAD... additionally I need to create Microsoft word compatible documents, which I assume open office will allow me to do...

Am I going to be able to make the switch??

not all programs are available for linux but for the ones that are not you can still get the windows versions to run to some degree via wine or crossover office or even (games) via cedega.

have a look at this site to see what programs have been successfully run via wine
