Okay, I am just getting in to Linux, and I've decided to go wih Fedora. I've played with Knoppix and Ubuntu but fedora is by far the most popular and probably the best distrobution where I'll find help.

How do I compile/install?

Have you got CDs/a DVD? If you have, it's usually a case of putting that in your computer when you start up, from there, you just press enter and it should become clear.

If you haven't got the download yet, visit http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Distribution/Download and download (most likely you'll want the x86 ISOs). Then burn and insert the disc when you restart.

Oh well have fun with fedora. But you may have a problem. After the install you may get an "out of range" message.

If so here are a few sites to help:

or the one I HIGHLY suggest:

http://www.linuxforums.org/forum/redhat-fe...-out-range.html this might be aplicable to F7.
