hi all,

In order to expand this site further than 'just being forums' I have put a lot of work into the following section of linux-noob.com

http://linux-noob.com/review/

please check it out and notice that it is missing reviews of the following distros

gentoo

mandrake

debian

slackware

ubuntu

If you feel that you can write a descriptive, interesting review of your experiences with any of the above distros (or any that have not been mentioned), then please let me know and if it's good enough it'll be published here :)

I'm looking for reviews that can if possible follow the same format as this review

http://linux-noob.com/review/suse/10/

it's not that hard to do, take some time describing your experiences setting it up, getting it to work the way you want on your hardware, and anything else that takes your fancy, screenshots would also be appreciated

I really do hope some of you can help linux-noob.com grow here, and the 'review' section is an important way of getting the site noticed by the already established linux news sites...

cheers

Looks like my distro of choice is already done, though I could do one to show my experiences with SUSE 10 if you want, my grumbles about Apache etc and the difference between older SUSEs...

Yes, sorry, I completely forgot about continuing that, but I have only one problem. After all that partition table business (don't remind me :(), it might have been lost along with the rest of my first HD's data that I didn't backup.

Anyweb, do you still have a copy? :/

if i can find the time between class and work ill write a little something about ubuntu from a noob perspective (sence i am a nOoB)
