Hey everyone,

I was looking to watch some videos on www.purepwnage.com and as the movie runs in the page i needed a movie player such as windows media player in windows. can anyone reccommend an easy install player. regards L150 o_O

mplayer works pretty well, if you dont already have it, its easy to install. then just in the fox just goto edit->preferences and in there you'll see where you can tell it where to find apps. once installed mplayer will prolly be in /usr/bin then scroll down till ya see mplayer or gmplayer theyre both the same but one is sposed to have controls the other just a display. hope this helps ya out.
you can get plugins for mplayer/vlc (i dont know of any others?) that play the vids directly inside the browser (as expected)

i'd also suggest you read this tip about playing media in linux right here on linux-noob.com

cheers
