Here's a screenshot so you can see how much memory my firefox 8 uses

i've had mine reporting 1.6GB of ram :(

That's alot [img]<___base_url___>//public/style_emoticons/default/sad.png[/img] Under SL I get this:

It's a cross-platform issue, by the looks of thinks. Firefox 8.0 on Mac OS X, after only moderate Google Reader usage, jumps in RAM. I've seen 1.5 GB or more, but even under regular usage can top 0.5 GB:
