hi, ive instelled windowmaker from source on my fedora core 2 box. and all seemed good. but i cant get it to be added to the session list in kdm... any ideas?

Not sure about adding it to KDE sessions but for GDM...
Create: /etc/X11/gdm/Sessions/WindowMaker
Code:
#!/bin/sh
exec /etc/X11/xdm/Xsession wmaker
Maybe similar for kde?
