i'm surely it will work on any windows version. matter in fact, the samba runs better with IP not the name of computer.
smb://192.168.0.2
then double click the shared folder, it will prompt you the login. use your windows login username and pass.

My question was does it work with Active Directory Services. I'm just curious to know if that is a possibility. To where you can use "Active Directory" and Samba hand in hand, with users, printers.... etc.
