Hey everyone!

I was just wondering how I can install Games for Windows games...I dont know if it is just as easy as running everything under Wine. I would personally test it out, but I am not 100% sure how to run anything under wine.

I installed a very recent version of Sabayon on my computer, mainly because it comes with a heap of junk that I wanted (Compiz, Wine-doors, Office suite, and just luxuries). I am not sure exactly how to run a program in wine. I went to the terminal and opened up winecfg and tried the first file I could think of (Armadillo Run!) and I used the correct .exe but I havent been able to find any proof that what I did did anything. Maybe I am just doing it wrong...but anyways I want to eventually install a bunch of small games (like Armadillo) and others like GTA IV, Fallout 3, and so on.

I doubt it will help, but here's some brief specs on my compy

Custom-built--

AMD Phenom 2.4gHz Triple-core processor

4GB G-Skill (Dual Channel) 800Mhz RAM

Radeon HD 3850 1GB DDR2

1TB WD HDD

and so on..

I am skilled with computers, so I can answer most questions about the actual machine, but all of my life I have had things handed to me (Windows) so I am not quite the programming buff I should be..

Thanks everyone.

Is there something like cedega without a subscription?

Correct me if I am wrong, but my understanding is that wine 1.1.24 supports 8bit, 16bit, 32bit, and 64bit programs.

I got this from winehq's statement, "Loads Windows 9x/NT/2000/XP, Windows 3.x and DOS programs and libraries." Since they state, "DOS programs" I believe 8bit and 16 bit is covered.
