hello everyone in Linux-land ^^

I've finally let my class mate, who uses Ubuntu, persuade me into switching to linux

now i did a little research before hand to figure out which type is the one i'd like best

i finally landed by gentoo

i also read that it's not really n00b-friendly,but i'm not affraid of that xD

what i've been having a lot of trouble with is getting Grub to work properly (the past 3 days -.-....)

but that's a different topic ^^

you are most welcome to linux-noob.com and please let me remind you that we also do IRC (efnet server, join #linux-noob)

 

you can use xchat, irssi, bitchx or even mIRC via wine to connect !

 

good luck with gentoo, i hope you post your experiences with it here or on your blog
