Hi,
I tried Knoppix 3.9 on my laptop Compaq presario V6000. I get the first screen, asking me how to start, but when I press enter, I just get (after the message: Loading Linux) a black screen.
Anyone a suggestion?

knoppix is now at version 5.3.x, so please ditch the version you have and download the new version (the new version will support newer hardware and have bug fixes etc)
