Anyweb, i was thinking that it would be a great idea to allow people to connect to Efnet/#linux-noob from the forum/website. I really don't know what you would use to accomplish this project, but am sure that it would create more traffic and users in the channel!!

I agree with |sanchez|. If someone reads the forum, it would be a 'neat' function to be able to chat while on the web-page if u need help with something... i'm sure you have the knowlede and skills anyweb :)

Unfortunately JPilot isn't freeware but another good and free java applet is Eteria IRC. If you can get an I-line on any server you could also use some cgi client (like my favorite CGI:IRC).
