  1. I setup XDMCP on my KDE box. When I try connecting with Xming & MobaXterm in windows, I can connect, the X window comes up but it's just black with an "X" mouse cursor. When I try connecting from a *nix box I get the exact same thing.
  2. Nope SELINUX=disabled is one of the first things I do on my home systems.
  3. I've setup XDMCP on my fedora 12 laptop. It uses KDM. /etc/kde/kdm/kdmrc [Xdmcp] Enable=true Willing=/etc/X11/xdm/Xwilling Xaccess=/etc/X11/xdm/Xaccess [security] AllowRemoteRoot=true DisallowTCP=false /etc/kde/kdm/Xaccess (link to the xdm 'xaccess' file) includes: * CHOOSER BROADCAST In KDM settings I set it to 'no theme' and 'no custom background' so it's totally plain. iptables & SELinux are both off. The client & server are both on the same switch. I can connect successfully. But all I get is a black screen & an X cursor, never get to see the login prompt. I have no idea why. Any suggestions?
  4. i found all the info i needed here: http://www.pendrivelinux.com/2006/09/19/al...uxos-minimezip/ ://http://www.pendrivelinux.com/2006/0...xos-minimezip/ ://http://www.pendrivelinux.com/2006/0...xos-minimezip/ ://http://www.pendrivelinux.com/2006/0...xos-minimezip/ ://http://www.pendrivelinux.com/2006/0...xos-minimezip/ for that sort of issue
  5. i've experienced that before w/ firefox in windows, that was about a year ago though. Also with Firefox in FC5 back around... June I'd say. And I had some flash attack my Epiphany browser the other day, I submitted a bug report because the option to do so came up; I got an email back saying the stacktrace pointed to a macromedia/flash issue not a browser one in that instance. So it's a little blurry to me where the problem is exactly, but if i had to pick i'd say flash. My epiphany browser uses flash7, my firefox uses 9. I use Epiphany sometimes when my firefox freaks out or crashes on some pages.
