    Hi there, salty dog.
  2. Hey there, I would just like to say that I am back in business....the winter blues are over and it is time to get back to linux. My first love! =) Hope to see you all soon....
  3. question, are you what kernel version are you using? You need to be using 2.4.20 unpatched i believe...and what distro are you using, are you trying to compile against a redhat kernel? or using an rpm... p.s. - you might google for 'forcedeth' and see what you get ... gl
  4. Yea! Irssi is better than BitchX...but not as 3l33t
  5. It works fine for me with my Creative SB Live! using emu10k1 kernel module, not even alsa...you need to have multiple channels enabled on your soundcard, for some cards you need to use ALSA.
  6. Check out the CD-Writing-HOWTO at http://www.ibiblio.org/pub/Linux/docs/HOWTO/CD-Writing-HOWTO -- you can find a lot of answers to your most common questions at the Linux Documentation Project...
  7. I've heard people mention that VNC is broken, ie unsecure...which is why I use putty/X11 forwarding with xwin32 X server =)

    irc commands

Hey, shake..most irc commands are system independant, seeing as how they refer to the user...but, if you tell us which client you are using I'm sure we can come up with some usefull commands!
