Getting my pc ready for Battlefield 3

I decided I still want to game every now and then so I start looking at some hardware to get my pc ready for BF3. And

I got some pretty nice hardware and will hopefully be good for at least a year or so

Motherboard

CPU

Videocard

RAM

PS3 WorkStation / XBox Dox, why are these not happening?

AS above - I reckon it'd be really neat if my PS3 could accomplish all my web-browsing including Office Live and Google Docs, and had a simple office suite for my day-to-day tasks. It has the power, it has plenty of storage (now :--P) etc. etc. ... I could leave my PC turned off most of the time, or transition it to being the 3+TB fileserver it's meant to be :--D.

Am I crazy, or does anyone else reckon it'd be cool?

The one thing that keeps popping up in my head is that as soon as you make any step into non-entertainment areas, certain PC-like expectations arise. But srsly, PS3 already supports various printers, webcams and the like and Microsoft is only the software giant. It can be made to happen - I just don't know why nobody's taken up the opportunity.

Here is a screenshot that I dug up from an old match. The sad part is that one of my best buddies was trying his best!! And he is a GREAT Player... This was on my Cutting Edge FX5600 Nvidia card with a whopping 24-38 FPS at 1280x1024. The funniest part about this is that he picked the same map over to try and avenge his victory, but he lost another not so crushing defeat!

Man I wish I had more time on my hands to still play. I do have some games loaded on my newer rig, but there doesn't seem to be enough time in the day!!

If you have a high performance PC try the following:

in the console o CS 1.6 tipe:

fps_max 900

fps_mode 0

net_graph 3

developer 1

and post your fps ??

I got 70-200 FPS on a Gf FX5200

and 90-400 FPS on a Gf3 Ti200

Have you ever consider to host any online game who have huge bandwith. why not arrange a battle party ?? if you have those kind of game.

It plays well so far, though the limited keyboard controls, mostly mouse driven, is really a drawback of this game.

I figure if I gotta look at a character, it might as well be a femail character, so I took some shots of my

Dark Elf Warrior, and my Orc Warrior.
