Install oidentd.

service identd restart

or

service oidentd restart

(i don't remember wich one is)

and

chkconfig --level 35 oidentd on

Hmmm. I just cant seem to connect to irc.efnet.net I always get the ident error

I have just moved back to slackware.

 

I can connect to irc.freenode.org that uses ident I wonder why efnet wont allow it
