not able to connect to net on fedora core 5

i have a Adsl connection.

 

in windows i coneect to internet using the wan miniport(pppoe) in the my networks.

 

could u pls help and tell me how to creat this in fedora core 5.

well for me i just conenct the adsl direct into the laptop and it picks up an ip address via DHCP,

 

i have no need to login to my ISP, do you ?

i found it.iam able to connect to the net.

but iam stuck with xmms.fedora does not have xmms

 

i downloaded it to my desktop but i dont know how to install it.

 

and another issue which i have is that when we use fedora and windows in a dual boot system the grub boot loader waits only 5 seconds before seleting the defult os.

Is there any way to increse the wait time for the grub boot loader.

xmms is easy

 

open a console (terminal)

 

then type this

su -




 

that's a 'su' (for superuser) followed by a SPACE and then a DASH

 

once done, do this

yum -y install xmms




 

that will install xmms for you (no need to download it to your desktop

thx a lot iam able to oopen the konsole in kde but how do i do it in gnome.

 

i had another question too.

 

is it possible to see the file contens of my other drives

 

like the ones which i use for windows operatiing system.

 

sorry for asking so many questions iam a little new to linux
