Acrobat Reader
#1

Dear All,

I am an absolute beginer and have just installed Fedora 6 . I am not happy with its default ODF reader as it is too slow, loads each page one at a time so I would like to switch to Acrobat Reader. I would like to know the individual steps to install it as I am totally unfamilior with the commands and codes. Need help .

Smarajit

PS The help I got from this forum in Installing Mplayer was very very good. It was just the stuff a beginer needs.

Thanks

Sm

Hi there!

So to install it you do this:

Go here: [/url][url=http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/read...ions_nojs1.html]http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/read...ions_nojs1.html

Switch OS to: Linux (.rpm)

Switch language if you need to.

Then select 7.0.9 (should be selected by default).

Then you can save the RPM and install that you can do it from the terminal with:

Code:
rpm -ivh AdobeReader_enu-7.0.9-1.i386.rpm

Should be installed then

The URL listed below will help a lot.

There are a couple of edits that need to be made so acrobat will launch properly.
