problem with nforce 2 lan driver
#1

I installed the package from nvidia for the most recent version of the nforce2 chipset, but the onboard lan will still not function in linux. Are there more steps to do after installing the package to get it to work?

It works when I boot to XP so I know the hardware is good.

question, are you what kernel version are you using? You need to be using 2.4.20 unpatched i believe...and what distro are you using, are you trying to compile against a redhat kernel? or using an rpm...

p.s. - you might google for 'forcedeth' and see what you get ... gl

I'm also having the same problem.

I can't get my nForce2 lan 2 work out after i install the driver provided in nvidia site.

I'm RedHat 9 with the original kernel version that come with it

I think is 2.4.20-8, if not mistaken..

Can anyone help?
