Fonts for wine
Posted by: andreas - 2004-06-10, 06:42 PM - Forum: Wine - Replies (6)

Hi!

I've followed the very nice 'intro' to make Wine work, and all of that stuff. What I'm wondering of is that the font that Wine applications are shown with, is not nice, and it 'screws' up the look a bit. To make it more easy to use, I would like to use a font like Anyweb has gotten here.

My font looks like this (not my screenshot):

I'f it was possible, I would look for a font like 'Tahoma' That i use in Window$...

Yet another experienced windows user with very little linux skills. Second year on my IT-bachlor degree, mainly with focus on oracle, java, system development and network.(yes windows only :( ) Have tried distros such as Mandrake and RedHat 8, with some sucess. Was thinking to install Fedora sometime soon, and will probably ask alot of questions. As I am a nOOb when it comes to linux. :)

27 years old from Norway with main interest in computers, food and family. Looking forward to get to know all of you and hopefully learn myself some linux :P

  Hi, I'm Another Escape.

I've never used Linux, but I've always wanted to.

My problem is that I grew up on Windows, and I don't know anything else. I'm buying a laptop this weekend (an old one) for the sole purpose of stripping it and dropping Linux on it. I want to get up to speed. So please be patient, as I've got tonnes of learning to do. :/

Btw, I'm a college student. Male, and 20 years old. Born and raised in SC in the USA. This year I'm hoping to be studying at Waseda University in Tokyo. Wish me luck.
