Yet another experienced windows user with very little linux skills. Second year on my IT-bachlor degree, mainly with focus on oracle, java, system development and network.(yes windows only :( ) Have tried distros such as Mandrake and RedHat 8, with some sucess. Was thinking to install Fedora sometime soon, and will probably ask alot of questions. As I am a nOOb when it comes to linux. :)

27 years old from Norway with main interest in computers, food and family. Looking forward to get to know all of you and hopefully learn myself some linux :P

I've never used Linux, but I've always wanted to.

My problem is that I grew up on Windows, and I don't know anything else. I'm buying a laptop this weekend (an old one) for the sole purpose of stripping it and dropping Linux on it. I want to get up to speed. So please be patient, as I've got tonnes of learning to do. :/

Btw, I'm a college student. Male, and 20 years old. Born and raised in SC in the USA. This year I'm hoping to be studying at Waseda University in Tokyo. Wish me luck.

Hi I'm Wais, a 15 year old student living in london. I have been using computers ever since 4 and I dont think i've trucked one up more than 4 times. I am the one friends run to when things go wrong with their pcs. I have got extensive experience with that piece of shit by microsoft (windows) and have gotten sick of it and am looking for an alternative, hence redhat getting installed on pc. I program in delphi and basic, hopefully I'll be able to learn the real stuff ie C when i get to college / university. My hobbies include IRC, computers, and thats about it

I am also looking for someone to teach me how to administer linux machines, as me and my friends are looking to start something of a hosting company. They provide the cash + linux knowledge so yea, why not. It'll be starting in summer so i have to learn as much as i can by then. Other than that I hope i'll find this fun and i also hope you guys will find ME fun ;)

Thats all,

Wais(my name)
