First thing is to install the Freshrpms and Livna Reops
Freshrpms 32 Bit
Code:
rpm -ihv http://ayo.freshrpms.net/fedora/linux/7/i386/RPMS.freshrpms/freshrpms-release-1.1-1.fc.noarch.rpmFreshrpms 64 Bit
Code:
rpm -ihv http://ayo.freshrpms.net/fedora/linux/7/x86_64/RPMS.freshrpms/freshrpms-release-1.1-1.fc.noarch.rpmLivna 32 bit version:

Code:
yum -y install xine xine-lib xine-skins xine-lib-extras-nonfree libdvdcssNow there is a lot of nice Muisc players out there but this is my personal fav.
Code:
yum -y install amarokNow we are going to install mplayer but before we do this we need to add lines to the livna.repo file
so edit it with the command of
Code:
nano /etc/yum.repos.d/livna.repothen add the exclude=mplayer* mencoder* ffmpeg* to it. to find out where to put this look at the example below.
Quote:gpgcheck=1gpgkey=file:///etc/pki/rpm-gpg/RPM-GPG-KEY-livna
exclude=mplayer* mencoder* ffmpeg*
[livna-debuginfo]
When you are done with that you can now add mplayer and the mplayer-plugin
Code:
yum -y install mplayer mplayer-skins mplayer-fonts mplayerplug-inNow lets install some win32 codecs
and now we'll install the windows codecs for mplayer
Code:
wget http://www1.mplayerhq.hu/MPlayer/releases/codecs/essential-20061022.tar.bz2
gtar xjvf essential-20061022.tar.bz2
mkdir /usr/local/lib/win32
mv essential-20061022/* /usr/local/lib/win32Install VLC player
Code:
yum -y install videolan-clientNow for java we need to install a package before it works
Code:
yum install compat-libstdc++-33Now we can install java
so download Java 6
Open a Terminal.
Become root:
Code:
su -Change back to your home directory (instead of root's home directory):
Code:
cd ~usernameWhere "username" is your normal username.
Run the file that you downloaded, by doing:
Code:
sh Desktop/jre-6u1-linux-i586-rpm.binIt will display a license agreement. You can press q to skip it.
Type "yes" when it asks you if you agree. Then it will install Java.
Finally, you can enable the Java plugin for your web browser:
Code:
ln -s /usr/java/jre1.6.0_01/plugin/i386/ns7/libjavaplugin_oji.so /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/
