did you know the following:-

linux-noob.com was born december 11th 2003

back then it was running windows 2003 server and iis 6

it is now running fedora core release 4 with apache/mysql/php

it ran for 528 days without a reboot on fedora core release 1

it is hosted on a laptop (256mb ram/40gig hdd) that sits under my stairs (think 'built in UPS')

it is more than just forums, there are now the following sub domains

I also forgot to add that linux-noob.com has a dedicated bot on IRC (thanks Flukex), this bot will peek linux-noob.com's RSS feed once a minute and if a member makes a new post in the 'how do i' section, it will be linked within one minute flat on the live IRC channel (EFNET server, #linux-noob)

this is a GREAT feature of this site and usually gets answers fast for our members

and this is a FYI (for your attention)

you see those PIPS beside your login name ? if you wanted to know what they mean, and how many=how you are doing here then have a look at the attached screenshot

cheers
