shared internet connection

okay this is complicated.

I have a laptop with windows xp, aol broadband and a usb adsl modem.

i have a pc with fedora core 1.

both have network cards.

can i use my windows internet connection through linux when connected to aol??

thanks to all who may help!!!

yes you can,

run the internet connection sharing wizard on your xp laptop and it will use the usb cable modem as your internet interface and share on the network card,

connect a crossover (patch) cable from your network card in the laptop to your pc, and on the pc enable dhcp on your eth0 network card

to enable dhcp open a terminal and as root type

then follow the guide

if you cant get that to work click on the redhat/system tools/internet configuration wizard

good luck !

you, my friend, are a star.

i now have linux on the internet and my dreams are beginning to come true!!!!

thanks so much.
