Which AntiVirus?

Recommended Posts

With my new PC, which antivirus is best?

I have no budget (everlasting supply of money :P ) I will be using Win XP Pro.

My current choice is Symantec's Norton Internet Security 2002.

Please help me choose :D

i know this is an old thread but avg antivirus is awsom even if you do use the free trial. i've had WAY better resualts with avg as apposed to anyother (i.e. norton, mcaffie, other stupid virus programs)

good luck,

gus

p.s. ad-aware is the best spywear as well (the free one is awsome too)

AVG http://free.grisoft.com Free Util, free upgrade, Cleaned all the viruses I've got, runs in safe mode too (why would an AV product not you say?, ask Norton/Sophos.. )

Also I'd suggest something like ZoneAlarm (http://www.zonelabs.com)

try symantec corporate edition 10

or symantec clinet security that has both symantec corporate edition + symantec firewall

those are better than norton antivirus or norton internet security

F-secure is awful

the amount of services it starts on a windows box is mindblowing

if you have F-secure installed, check task manager and see how many services are running related to f-secure

thumbs down from me

use AVG FREE

instead

cheers

Avast free home edition! Best virus software I've used and I had panda for ages..

have both Windows and linux versions for free home use

Avast Home Page

Best thing is, the same serial key works for both my Windows install and linux install...

I agree with Yeok, GET AVAST NOW!!!!!! lol its really good.

I have been using it for a while now and no virus has made it in :)

Also get the following programs for that extra armor:

Spybot S&D

Protowall

May you walk the net with this new armor :)

well...it's hard to choose but i can tell a few things: avast is ennoying with its scan, avg takes space, norton is a nightmare, mccafee is not ok. So i don't know what to say; the best choise for me is this kaspersky vers 7 I hope it'll help you too. Good luck!
