New here and got a few questions to ask

ok.. i just installed fedora core 4 onto my laptop recently and i am COMPLETLY new to linux... (thank god for finding this site) haha well heres my first post.. and i was wondering... when i see code like this

You will want to put this code into a terminal window. From the GNOME desktop, you can click the icon at the top which looks like a computer with an '>' on the screen, or press Alt-F2, type gnome-terminal and press Enter.

anohter thing... wats a program that would be like itunes for linux instead of having to use WINE... is there another program that i can use to put music files onto my ipod?... and why i cant run at rez at 1024 by 768... when i try that the screen goes all messed up but i do know my laptop lcd can handel that rez since it worked fine with windows and one more thing....... how do i install .bin files, .rpm files, and files at in .tar.gz

(i know that .tar files are archives... but i want to know how to install firefox) srry with all the quesitons as u can guess im 100% noob at linux lol.... :/
