Avant now has a Fedora repo, so to get that working do as follows:-
as root (su -) do this
1. install the repo

cd /etc/yum.repos.d/
wget http://www.csc.calpoly.edu/~admiller/repo/pub/kirov.repo2. import the GPG key

rpm --import http://www.csc.calpoly.edu/~admiller/repo/pub/RPM-GPG-KEY-Kirov3. install avant and enjoy :)

yum install avant-window-navigatorOnce you done the above click on Applications, then Accessories, then choose 'Avant Window Navigator'.
the screenshot shows what the Avant dock looks like (it's at the bottom of my screen)
