kernel panic
#1

I am trying to install Slackware in my external hard-drive (which is a Seagate FreeAgent USB drive) instead of ubuntu. I disabled the internal disk from the BIOS prior to the installation of Slack. Also formatted the drive during the installation and selected theLILO to be installed in the mbr.

Now if I select my external USB drive as the first device to boot from in the BIOS I get the following error:

GRUB Loading Stage 1.5

GRUB Loading, Please wait...

ERROR 15

hmm, seems like you are really diving in nosedeep into linux, and perhaps this could be solved in an easier way by using fedoras tool to write a linux ISO to a usb drive...

you can do this in windows or linux, here's the download link

https://fedorahosted.org/liveusb-creator/

plug in your usb drive, run the prog, point it to your slackware iso and see what happens, ps, any reason you chose Slackware ? its not the easiest distro to use at all, Fedora or Ubuntu or Suse would be better *read easier* choices for someone new to linux

let me know if this helps
