facebook via command line
#1

Yes it sounds strange but it's possible commandline for facebook(FBCMD):

You need php5 so check php -V

Then download:

curl -O https://github.com/d...bcmd_update.php or download it from the website

log into root

sudo php fbcmd_update.php sudo

php fbcmd_update.php install

Get your authorization code from facebook

run fbcmd

And it should work ( I still have to try it myself)

Seems an interesting thing to do, but since I'm very happy to say I'm not a Facebook user, I won't be giving it a try. :)

I read there's a command line thing for twitter too, and I know you're on there :P

Want me to find it for you ? :P

I played with TTYtter a while ago. It's actually a really cool (and eerily IRC-like) way to use Twitter. I could run it on my server and have tweets perpetually open in a screen session. I ended up losing it due to doing a reinstall of the system, but I should play around with it again!

Yeah I agree facebook is a pain and waste of time but I know quite a few people around the world and it's the easiest way to keep up with them
