Perhaps I was over-estamating the appreciation for such content.

If you liked Ask Ritter: Chapter 1 then please feel free to suggest another topic. I'll decide based on response and enthusiasm if and/or what the next topic shall be.

How about:

1. A step by step guide to installing and configuring a completely wireless home using a dsl connection, Fedora (or insert your favorite distribution here), a wireless router or use the linux box as a wireless router, a wireless printer, a 2nd and 3rd machine (possibly windows) that live somewhere in the house away from the linux box. Be sure to include a reasonable firewall with port forwarding to one of the internal machines.

or

2. A step by step guide to installing and configuring VOIP in Linux. Pick your favorite VIOP service.

whats so hard anyweb to do that ? :)

squid is included in fedora core[1-3] - just need to configure /etc/squid/squid.conf

mrtg, iptables are included too (i think we have a iptables howto already on the forums)

snort its easy to setup

if you want to do that you just need to read the docs :)

i mean i want it to work in an easy to manage 'package' like smoothwall

thats what i mean, have you ever tried smoothwall ? its really cool, one webpage to admin everything, loads of logging ability, and you can ssh in and do it all by CLI if you want to

cheers
