So how can I contact the creators of Linux Fedora? And how can i contribute to Linux Fedora?

From what I understand an important component of the Linux community Linux is improved by the users and creators.

I am learning to program (lol yeah learning, i am about 2 seconds past "Hello World") in the C++ language so i cannot really give any help there.

So is there another way to contribute?

Oh and does anyone know of a way to run Dev C++ in Linux?

Or are there any other tools that I can get from the add/remove software archives?

I did i quick look and what I found was a bit confusing. What should I look for?

And are there any programming experts that have any advice for this programming noob? :)

I originally went with Gentoo because well gentoo pwns but then i decided to try Debian.

Wow.

Atleast in Debian I can go into the terminal and type 'apt-get install whatever_program' and have it installed...

Fluxbox runs funky in Debian...I'm installing Gentoo, screw debian.

XP/Linux Fedora 7 Emulation and XP installation
Posted by: Deltanoob - 2007-06-24, 01:30 AM - Forum: Fedora 7 - Replies (1)

My intention was to Install XP then Linux F7 and use VMware to dualboot.

Well i cannot get XP to even start to install.

I open the XP folder i downloaded and use WINE to start an executable...it works but when i click "Install Windows XP"

Wine just crashes, I think.

Is there a really good emulator out there?

Or is there a way i can force my system to boot from this disc? (i burned a CD-RW and a DVD-RW of this image)

When I place the disc in and restart i get a prompt with the DVD to boot from CD and it does nothing after i press enter.

But when i place the CD in i get no prompt?

Please help

Beryl in F7 (and other problems)
Posted by: Deltanoob - 2007-06-22, 12:39 PM - Forum: Fedora 7 - Replies (5)

I install F7 and now i just want to get Beryl to work.

My secondary objectives are to find a good torrent of XP, when i use azereus i will see things like " peers 0(125) seeds 0(123)" So i am like !!? i cannot download torrents? huh why wont they connect? So i need help on that too.

But back to beryl, I install, run and WHITE SCREEN! HUH????? Yeah i get a solid white screen!!!

I am using a Diamond ATI Stealth X1550 256mb graphics card does Linux support this?

Quick update: While in this white screen i screwed with random buttons and mouse motions and it is actually a 3d hexagon i think. On all faces it is white with any shadow effects and on the top and bottom it is black the the Fedora Emblem in the center. Please help.

Anyone know what component or where to get a tutorial on how to connect to a LINUX machine using a VB app?

I am trying to create a WIN32 Visual Basic application that communicates to a LINUX machine. I will need to read some file info from the LINUX machine and display it in the application. If change is need I will write the change to the file.

Thanks.

Here's a nice screen of my new Gentoo hardened install. With some time and patience to get everything working right. Background image was acquired at babene.ru.
