  How do I Mount /dev/hdb1
Posted by: Navrax - 2006-02-04, 04:53 AM - Forum: Filesystem Management - Replies (3)

I have a secondary hard drive hooked up to my computer with gentoo linux. I created a partition on it using fdisk and I have since then tried to mount /dev/hdb1 (secondary drive) To /srv (my folder for myy secondary hard drive)

Whenever I try and:

mount /dev/hdb1 /srv I get 'Mount: /dev/hdb1 already mounted or /srv busy

Whenever I try

mount /dev/hdb1 I get 'Mount: can't find /dev/hdb1 in /etc/fstab or /etc/mtab;

any help would be greatly appreciated

  Using nautilus in fluxbox
Posted by: enigma - 2006-02-02, 10:16 PM - Forum: Fluxbox - Replies (4)

Ok, so you want to use nautilus for your file manager in fluxbox. simply install nautilus and add the following command to your fluxbox menu: nautilus --no-desktop... Now you are using nautilus as the file manager, problem is it was made for gnome. There is an easy solution if you see nautilus stop working... Simply killall nautilus ( i've added this also to my flux menu ). Then you can use nautilus --no-desktop and it should work fine....
