Recently or perhaps not so recently, my computer started looking for hdc when it starts up. this is strange because i dont have an hdc, just an hda. It's not really causing me any major problems but it does waste considerable time at boot up looking for it. I'm using fedcore 1, any suggestions?

I've read alot about both, and I'm failing to see a deciding factor to go one way or the other. Would someone enlighten me as to which currently has the advantage?
My biggest concern is integration with Spam Assassin or other anti-spam products. That's the main reason for this new mail server.
Thanks in advance.

If your into electronic music, check out di.fm for some kick ass streams while your playin' with your box.
In particular i'd say check out the hard-house channel. The mixes aren't always the best but the tracks are slammin' .
have fun,

Hello everyone, I know many of you including myself come to this site for information and help. We would like to continue to grow and expand the use of Linux to as many people as we can, and help as best we can along the way.
We have determined the best way to get this site to grow without the use of ad's on every page, is through the use of donations. Here is our projected goal:
If we can gather $1000, that will allow us to get (CENSORED) ad impressions on OSNews.com
What are ad impressions you ask?? It means that our logo will be displayed on a page that is loaded on OSNews.com (CENSORED) times! Just imagine how many people that would reach new and old to our site and make it grow tremendously faster than by the old word of mouth technique!
I myself have already donated $50 EU to the cause, and hope many more of you will also! To donate, just click on the donation button at the top of the site!
Thanks to everyone that supports this site!!

I have just started experimenting with Unix-based systems and need some step-by-step assistance.
I have performed a minimal installation of Fedora Core 2 on some old Pentium-II computers. I then used Yum to download the latest xfce desktop environment. However, when the computer boots, xfce does not load up automatically. I am also unable to start xfce from the command prompt.
What changes do I need to make in order to have xfce load properly on startup?
