A cabbie picks up a nun.

She gets into the cab, and notices that the very handsome cab driver won't stop staring at her. She asks him why he is staring.

He replies: "I have a question to ask you, but I don't want to offend you"

She answers, "My son, you cannot offend me. When you're as old as I am and have been a nun as long as I have, you get a chance to see and hear just about everything. I'm sure that there's nothing you could say or ask that I would find offensive."

 

 

"Well, I've always had a fantasy to have a nun kiss me."

 

She responds, "Well, let's see what we can do about that: #1, you have to be single and #2, you must be Catholic."

 

The cab driver is very excited and says, "Yes, I'm single and Catholic!

 

OK" the nun says. "Pull into the next alley."

The nun fulfills the cab driver's fantasy with a very passionate kiss.

 

But when they get back on the road, the cab driver starts crying.

 

"My dear child," said the nun, why are you crying?"

 

"Forgive me but I have sinned. I lied and I must confess, I'm married and I'm Jewish."

 

"That's okay, My name is Kevin and I'm on my way to a Halloween party."

hi all, why is it that everytime i try to install ubuntu on a dell{(even w/ live cd)at least with every dell i've tryed) as soon gnome starts the screen goes black (like power save mode) and i get a "out of frequency range message"???

last night i got the idea to dual boot my Dell. all was going fine utill i relized that durring the format i had also set it to erase my 2 backup jumpdrives witch i left in the computer.(i can't beleve i did that) Of course thay had all my homework on them (due on tuesday). anyone know of a free easy program (prefurably windows) to recover the lost data??

 

now for the next prob.

 

when installing ubuntu my screen displays "out of frequency range", when starting gnome. WHY?

If you feel that you can write a descriptive, interesting review of your experiences with any of the above distros (or any that have not been mentioned), then please let me know and if it's good enough it'll be published here :)

 

I'm looking for reviews that can if possible follow the same format as this review

  Mandriva and Active Directory

I am currently trying to pull in information on adding a Mandriva machine to active directory from start to finish. I've seen different write-ups, mostly using the text config files (although there was a good one for Suse using their Kerberos 5 config GUI).

 

While I am trying this out with the school's lab, if anyone has any suggestions or pointers, please feel free to chime in. I want this to have complete screen shots and plenty of information for us to use at any time we need.

 

Now, I did notice the ability to choose the authentication method while installing Mandriva 2006, but I haven't yet found any direct means to change that after the first-run. I will be doing some digging this weekend, and I'll be trying this out on Monday.

I'm trying to setup Bind9 so that people cant point their dns server addresses to my box and do lookups off my server, but still have them able to query my dns server for the domains its authoritive for.

 

My named.conf

The only way I've been able to stop people from doing lookups off my server is by setting recursion to none. I would like to have my localnet to have the option of doing lookups off my box so I need a more suited way of controling who does lookups off my box.

 

I have read about views and I wont be serving different content to my localnet so I dont think I require them.

the guy who worked at the shope i work at now bult the database. but, he forgot the admin level password so i can't aulter it :( . I'm considering just bulding a new one (i'll prob. do it anyway) but it would be nice to grab all that data at once [img]<___base_url___>/uploads/emoticons/default_laugh.png[/img] . Anywho, any clues you can give will be appreciated.
