Here is the output from scanModem:
[root@ravenmanor raven]# ./scanModem
UPDATE=2005_Feb_ 1
ONLY use scanModem downloaded as: http://linmodems.technion.ac.il/packages/scanModem.gz
./scanModem should ONLY be run within a Linux/UNIX partition.
If within a MicroSoft/DOS partition, abort with Ctrl-C now !!!
Copy scanModem.gz to your Linux partition and restart.

Ok, so i want to be able to watch .pps (powerpoint, I presume) files and was suggested to that OpenOffice might help with that, since I am using Fedora Core 3.
I downloaded :
OOo_1.1.4_LinuxIntel_install.tar.gz
*noob alert*
What shall I do with it?
Shall I write something in terminall?
what?
Is there, perhaps, a nicely written document on how to install it, step by step? :P
Thanks in advance =)
/lia

Here in England it's Shrove Tuseday (Pancake Day) the day where pancakes get stuck to the ceiling or burnt or cooked perfectly and served with lemon and sugar.
Anyone else celebrate this good tasting day? :P

OK... So a newby decided to jump in at the deepend and install Nagios.
After Days of trauling through the documentation I eventually got everyting working fine !!
The only problem now is I get the following error message on the nagios web interface:
"It appears as though you do not have permission to view information for any of the services you requested...
If you believe this is an error, check the HTTP server authentication requirements for accessing this CGI
and check the authorization options in your CGI configuration file."
This happens even when I log in as 'nagiosadmin'. Can't find a solution in the docs or web...
Please help !!!
